President's Day Weekend Fun

President’s Day Weekend is around the corner which means a much needed long weekend is in the near future for PC students!

The question always is- How should I spend my long weekend? There is, of course, always the option of catching up on sleep and relaxing in bed all day (which is never a bad option), however, if you decide to venture out of bed here are some fun things you could do instead!

❏ Hop on the train and take a quick 40-50 min ride to Boston, Massachusetts! Take this break as your chance to explore the city with friends!

❏ If you are feeling extra adventurous- splurge and take the train to NYC! The train ride is a bit longer, but definitely worth it! There are endless amounts of activities to do in New York City ranging from shopping in Soho, to visiting the famous wax museum, Madame Tussauds, or even going up to the top of the Empire State building for a once in a lifetime view of the city that never sleeps! The possibilities are endless- and you never know who you could run into in New York City!

❏ Head to Newport for the day for a change in scenery and to catch of glimpse of the beautiful water

If traveling isn’t your thing- not a problem! There are plenty of things to do nearby in Providence that can certainly keep you busy for the day!

❏ Treat yourself to a mani pedi with your friends (Metro Nails on Wickenden street offers a student discount with any valid student ID)

❏ Try a new place to eat- Federal Hill, Thayer Street, Wayland Square, Downtown Providence

❏ Or even stay in with your friends and watch or go to a movie you’ve all been dying to see

No matter how you decide to spend your long weekend, make sure to ENJOY IT!
